镍钛合金丝拉伸试验(ATSM F2516)
镍钛合金是形状记忆超弹性合金,在生物医学工业中得到广泛应用,为数众多应用的几个例子是镍钛合金用于血管内支架、牙线、导管导丝、骨折内固定装置、活检钳等。镍钛合金试验的关键是应变的精确测量。横梁位置或LVDV读数不能提供达到ASTM标准规定具体应变需要的精度。经常使用的夹持引伸计也存在一些待克服的问题。比如,夹持引伸计重量可能引起镍钛合金丝弯曲,夹具刃口可能滑脱,损坏镍钛合金丝或导致过早破坏。另外,对于精确描述材料特性来说,大多数夹持引伸计的标距长度不够。
解决办法是采用高级视频引伸计可以在循环载荷和达到破坏时测量镍钛合金丝的应变。针对此试验,我们用5582电子万能试验机架,配置1 kN载荷传感器和1 N气动线和绳夹具,这种夹具用于镍钛合金丝试验能够使试样精确对中,减小夹持面应力集中,不然,应力集中会引起试样破坏。对于大直径丝或管型试样,我们推荐气动平推夹具或机械式楔形夹具。 表示镍钛合金丝特性最常用的试验方法还有破坏性基础拉伸试验,要求材料加载至6%或8%应变,无载回零百分比应变,然后拉至破坏。 使用Bluehill® 软件e试验结果曲线示意图可以方便地确定每个加载要求,根据每条曲线的特定段进行数据分析。我们用此方法评价了三个相同直径镍钛合金丝试样的拉伸强度、上下平稳段强度和强度设置值。这些结果表明,高级视频引伸计成功地跟踪了整个加载循环和至破坏时的应变。

2714 Series Pneumatic Cord and Yarn Grips (2714-005)
Pneumatic cord and yarn grips provide a convenient method for clamping fiber, cord, yarns and fine wires to reduce the problem associated with testing these materials. A specially designed horn with a smooth finish and a contoured surface with a graduated cam allows for easy loading and a stress reduced clamping area on the specimen.
