ASTM F543 骨螺钉的轴向和扭转测试
骨螺钉常用于外科手术中的植入物固定、接骨装置或骨骼系统的骨折内固定板。常规临床应用中,当骨螺钉置入体内时都要受到外科医生施加的轴向力和扭力。制造商和科学家通过测试骨螺钉的各种力学性能来评估骨螺钉的新材料和设计。
标准ASTM F543-07 Test A4:“自攻医用骨螺钉自攻性能测试方法”规定了评价一个自攻骨螺钉钻入标准实验材料所需轴向力的方法。虽然在临床上被认为是一个简单的过程,但是由于试验机回转轴和线性轴的相互影响,在体外重现这个过程是一个相对复杂的运动。该测试要求连续的高达30rpm旋转速度,在钻入同时轴向载荷以2N/s的加载速率逐渐增加。本试验的目的是为了记录骨螺钉钻入和去除材料时的扭矩曲线。

控制系统是WaveMatrix™动态测试软件,它可以像设置单轴试验程序一样,方便地设置多轴测试的一系列步骤以及显示试验需要的信息。本试验需要特殊的夹具将材料连接到双轴力传感器上,以及一个用于安装钻头的钻头卡盘。
ElectroPuls E10000拉扭复合试验机还可以用于在标准ASTM F543详细规定的其他试验方案。
